Availability of the raw material:
HBTL sources its organic Chiuri butter from the remote western part of Nepal. Chiuri grows wild in the forest and also on steep marginal lands. The total number of Chiuri trees in Nepal is estimated to 10 million with 5 million trees at the fruit bearing stage. The estimated quantity of Chiuri seeds in Nepal is 90,000 MT with the potential to extract 35,000 MT of butter per year.
