Organic Citronella oil

Cymbopogon winterianus Jowitt.

Citronella oil is extracted by steam distillation of the fresh or partly dried or dried grass of Cymbopogon winterianus Jowitt., organically cultivated in low lands of Nepal.

Characteristics:

Appearance: A mobile liquid
Color: Light yellow or yellowish brown
Aroma: Fresh, powerful, lemony scent

Active constituents:

Mainly geraniol, citral, citronellol, geranyl acetate, limonene, citronellal, elemol, camphene

Uses:

◊ Used in aromatherapy.
◊ Extensively used in soaps, detergents, household goods and industrial perfumes.
◊ Employed as insect repellent for use in home and in garden.
