Organic French basil oil

Ocimum basilicum L.,

French basil oil also known as Sweet basil oil is extracted by steam distillation of the flowering herbs of Ocimum basilicum L., organically cultivated in low lands of Nepal.

Characteristics:

Appearance: A fluid liquid
Color: Colorless or pale yellow
Aroma: Light, fresh, sweet‐spicy, with faint balsamic, woody undertone

Active constituents:

Major constituents are linalol, geraniol, T‐cadinol, eugenol and 1, 8‐cineol.

Uses:

◊ Used in aromatherapy. ◊ Widely used in soaps, cosmetics and perfumery. ◊ Extensively used in food items.
